A week in the Scottish Highlands
A road trip from Glasgow to Skye, through Glencoe, with a car full of wet boots.
We picked up the car in Glasgow in bright sunshine. By Loch Lomond, the wipers were on full speed. That set the tone for the week, and none of us minded.
Glencoe
There’s a lay-by on the A82 where everyone stops. Stop there anyway.
Skye
Narrow single-track roads, passing places, and sheep who have absolutely no intention of moving.
